Terms of Service
Last updated: June 11, 2026 — Alpha release
These terms govern your use of FamilyOS during its alpha release. By sending messages to the FamilyOS bot or signing up for early access, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use FamilyOS.
1. Alpha software — use at your own risk
FamilyOS is in active development. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. Extracted dates, reminders, and calendar events may be inaccurate or incomplete.
Always double-check important dates and deadlines yourself — don't rely on FamilyOS as your sole source for time-sensitive commitments (e.g. medical appointments, legal deadlines, school enrollment dates).
2. The service is provided "as is"
FamilyOS is provided free of charge during the alpha, with no warranties of any kind, express or implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee uptime, message delivery, or reminder accuracy.
3. Acceptable use
- Use FamilyOS only for personal, household, and family logistics purposes
- Don't send unlawful, abusive, or harmful content
- Don't attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the service
- Don't send highly sensitive personal data (financial account numbers, medical records, government IDs) — see our Privacy Policy
4. Your data
Information about what we collect and how to delete it is in our
Privacy Policy. In short: you can
permanently delete your family's data anytime by sending
DELETE MY DATA then DELETE MY DATA CONFIRM to
the bot, or by emailing
hello@tryfamilyos.com.
5. Third-party services
FamilyOS relies on third-party services (Telegram, Google Calendar, Anthropic, OpenAI, Railway, and similar providers) to function. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FamilyOS and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including missed events, incorrect reminders, or data loss — including data loss resulting from a deletion request you initiate.
7. Termination
You may stop using FamilyOS at any time and request deletion of your data as described above. We may suspend or discontinue the alpha, or a given account, at any time — for example if we believe the acceptable use terms have been violated.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as FamilyOS evolves (e.g. moving from alpha to a paid product). We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
